Born in Osaka, Japan, Yoko Mori was a wedding photographer in Osaka. After she left the job, she moved to Toronto, Canada, and she became a graphic design student. While studying graphic design at school, she created design for local companies. She likes trying new media on her artwork such as spray paint, ink, woodblock print, water colour and acrylic.

Mori was a quiet and obedient child who enjoyed drawing and making things. The creative girl was inspired by North American and European art, music and movies. Street art had a big impact on her when she was a teenager. She studied woodblock printing at Osaka University of Arts. After graduating, her interest in photography started when her father gave her his film camera.
She spent days and nights in a dark room printing black and white photographs. She held some solo photo exhibits in Osaka. She then worked as a wedding photographer and mastered digital photography and layout design. The eager learner was always interested in living in another country and chose Toronto to study art. Her dream is to become an international artist.
